"Our client spent years living abroad in Europe, where she fell in love with the charming European Countryside–she wanted to bring that feeling to her new home,” said Peggy Fuller, Principal Interior Designer. The sunroom was part of a whole home renovation and brought in elegant influences of European country living with elements from the earth, such as real stone, wood, vintage fabrics, soft-muted colors, and natural light.”
“The space is centered by an oversized limestone fireplace, which we collaborated with MATERIAL Bespoke Stone + Tile on the custom design. It brings a charm and romance to the space,” she said. “It is cozy, yet opulent, bringing influences of Europe to Texas."

Project Highlight
"We first started the hunt for a fireplace in this formal living room by going to various antique shops hoping to find an old fireplace mantel that would fit our needs. But we quickly realized that the antique mantels we found were too small to satisfy our requirements,” said Principal Designer Shannon Green. “It was important to design a fireplace that was large to honor the scale of the room, but not overwhelm the space.”
Green selected a beige limestone in Old French Quartered finish for the fireplace mantel. “I played with different depths to create a mantel and overmantel design that was massive in scale to fit the room, but also made sure the proportions complemented the ceiling beams and other architectural elements.”
“The limestone keeps this mantel elegant yet balanced, grounded yet soft. It is one that will remain timeless and adapt to different design styles as the home transforms over the years to come.”
